Position Description

McKesson’s Undergraduate Intern program provides you with an opportunity to experience the healthcare industry first-hand. By applying your education to a real-life working environment, you will receive a solid foundation of experience as a McKesson intern. Through project-based work across key business initiatives, as well as hands-on experience, you will be exposed to many aspects of the business and draw upon your varied skill set. Further, by working in tandem with others, you will build a network of support to help you develop professionally. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and growing industry!

Undergraduate Intern Program Details

Paid Internship

Full-time work for 10 weeks

Position will reside in Alpharetta, GA

No company sponsored housing, relocation, student visa or Green Card assistance available

Each intern is assigned a project-focused opportunity in a specific business unit and works directly with an Intern Coordinator and Sponsor. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and growing industry!

The internship program also provides networking, access to executives, structured performance & coaching and fun, local activities!

ROLE SPECIFIC OPPORTUNITY:
Here’s the opportunity to make a difference, have fun, and get things done!

Work with a crack team of data & analytics ninjas! You will be a member of a recruited cohort responsible for addressing a singular challenge.

Within the McKesson Enterprise Technology & Services corporate function, the intern position will have an opportunity to work closely with a cross-functional team focused on Data and Analytics @ McKesson while growing their own skills and experiences in this rapidly evolving area.

This role prioritizes the following skills:
Solid grounding in Statistics fundamentals; exposure to Machine Learning & AI is a plus

Data Analysis & Visualization (Example tools: Tableau, Alteryx, Toad)

Proficient in Programming (Example Languages: R, Python, Julia, Scala)

Experience with cloud and big data environments (Examples: Amazon/MS Azure/Google clouds, Hadoop, Spark)

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in a degree program for the duration of the internship to be eligible

3.0 minimum GPA

Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program applicable to Data Science & Analytics, Data Engineering or Platform Engineering, and scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2018 or sooner

Critical Skills

Willingness to learn, develop, and contribute in a fun, fast-paced environment. Self-starter that brings both interpersonal skills and creative problem solving skills.
