Customer Development Manager III – Drug/Value

OVERVIEW:
The focus of the Drug / Value Customer Development Manager is to manage the execution of short and long term programs to drive profitable volume growth in key assigned accounts. The account base will include field responsibilities for Drug / Value customers including Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Dollar General, Dollar General Market, Family Dollar, Dollar Express, with possible expansion to other NRS customers. The Customer Development Manager is responsible for all sales and marketing activities that occur within assigned accounts. This person is also responsible for ensuring all marketing and sales plans are executed by the sales staff to maximize gross margin, volume and share. This Customer Development Manager – Drug / Value will manage a territory that covers the South Carolina market and within the CCBCC footprint.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and facilitate ops to ops wiring between the customer and CCBCC Field Operations

Business Development – Implement programs to drive profitable volume growth for company and customers

Communications – Liaison for communicating program details, issues, opportunities, and best practices to assigned accounts and appropriate CCBCC personnel

Customer Relationships – Meet with Operations teams of each chain to ensure program execution, determine opportunities and establish dialog

Work closely with internal personnel by spending time in the trade defining and determining opportunities

Develop and provide sales presentations to the customer, including promotional LOS, forecast, and financial impacts

Track, monitor and scorecard execution in the assigned market to ensure timely execution of plans developed by the team.

Report any opportunities / learnings to leadership

Leverage key learnings to improve or adjust future promotional events

Administrative Execution – Enable timely program implementation and maximize key business tasks

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
Strong planning & analytical skills

Strong communication skills

Strong negotiation skills

Independent self-starter

Sales and key account management experience, preferably Drug / Value

Current/prior trade experience is essential

Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Four year degree in relevant discipline preferred

Must be willing to travel 50-60% of the time
