Careers 2.0 Engineerng Re Entry Program- IC Design Engineer

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

A current career break from engineering of two or more years
An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering
Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional work experience, excluding internships
Previous experience working in a collaborative and diverse environment

Our Careers 2.0 internship runs September 2017 through February 2018. Please apply before August 4, 2017 to be considered for the professhional intern positions. The positions includes a variety of engineering roles within R&D, Reliability, Contiunous Improvement and design engineering.

Position Responsibilities:

Provide expertise for ultra-low power digital design for Integrated Circuit (IC) designs for medical devices by using and applying technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques; applies extensive technical expertise to a variety of technical problems of high level scope and complexity; develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity to low-power electrical designs that support new features and new therapies for pacing, defibrillation and pain stimulation; perform initial specification definition, schematic and layout generation (design / layout tools to include Cadence Schematic entry and layout environment, Cadence Virtuoso, and CALIBRE), RTL & firmware coding/debugging (to include Verilog, System Verilog, HSPICE, SPECTRE, Simvision and Spy Glass), Scripting (C and perl), digital and analog mixed signal simulations and environment setup, timing closure, layout oversight, verification, IC fracture, silicon verification, product characterization, and release and create documentation; use DFT methods, IC test and IC Characterizations, vector translator process and formats and IDDQ testing, Prime Time, Nanosim and to perform job duties; work with configuration management system and LINUX operating system and lab equipment and Familiar with Automated Test Equipment; provide direct customer contact and product development/planning for concept definition and other functional areas including marketing, manufacturing and regulatory requirements; and utilize graduate-level research and analysis skills for Submicron semiconductor process technology and device physics.

Some domestic and international travel may be required.
