Business Apprentice

When hired into the Cerner Apprentice Program, you reap big benefits. During your apprenticeship, you will gain insights into Cerner’s business methodology and will begin real project work immediately. You’ll work alongside the experts to acquire the knowledge and skills to prepare you for a long-term, meaningful career.

As a Business Apprentice, you’ll assist your team as they analyze and anticipate business needs, identify challenges, define objectives and help set strategic goals. You’ll gain experience in project coordination, strategic communication, business metrics and measurement and much more.

Possible business areas you will support include accounting, finance, human resources, consulting, sales, software development and others. Placement is based on business need, aptitude and your long-term career goals. Depending upon the team you are assigned, client events may warrant onsite travel over the summer.

Basic

Actively pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with a minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA

Enrolled in a minimum of nine (9) credit hours

Preferred

Minimum of two (2) or more semesters left of degree program prior to graduation

Expectations

U.S. work authorization required

Must reside in the Kansas City metropolitan area

Ability to work at least 20 hours a week during the school year and 40 hours a week during the summer (May-August) in a minimum of 3 hour increments
