Behavioral Health Biller

We are currently seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Biller to join our administrative team, based at our 2312 Snelling Ave office located in Minneapolis. This position is responsible for all facets of behavioral health billing to insurance payers and clients. This includes preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims to payers using billing software. Additionally, the Behavioral Health Biller will follow up with insurance companies regarding unpaid claims, discrepancies in payments and denied claims. This position requires (1) a high school diploma or equivalent; (2) knowledge of business and accounting processes usually obtained from an associate’s degree in business administration, accounting, or health care administration; (3) a minimum of two years experience in a behavior / medical billing office setting; (4) proficiency with electronic health records (EMR); (5) familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding; (6) knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements and systems.
