Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in a science, medicine or engineering field or Engineering degree in Biomedical science with 2+ years of experience
  • Background in scientific image processing, analysis or multi-dimensional signal processing
  • Be familiar with the Linux operating system and at least with one programming language (Python, MATLAB, Java, C++, …)
  • Have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Be able to articulate processes verbally and in writing
  • Be highly motivated to learn new technical skills
  • Significant research experience and ability to work independently

About the Job

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota seeks a skilled research specialist to serve in the Neuroimaging Research Group. The successful candidate is expected to: (1) provide technical and analytic support in designing and supporting neuroimaging analysis pipelines; (2) simultaneously support different versions of analysis tools that might require different libraries and operating system versions; (3) use major neuroimaging analysis platforms (FSL, FreeSurfer, SPM etc.); (4) be fluent in Linux and have a programming experience using MATLAB.
