Associate-Trading – SEC31417QYC

Duties: Associate-Trading with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in New York, NY. Make markets for customers and generally transact in Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Basis, and Forward Rate Agreements. Hedge new and existing trades using derivatives and securities. Conduct detailed, in-depth analysis of new and existing positions for the purpose of pricing and risk management. Evaluate market implied pricing across rates, foreign exchange and cross currency markets. Work with structuring and sales personnel to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities; participate in the presentation of ideas. Conduct customer outreach, including significant travel domestic and international. Work alongside Legal, Compliance, and Operations groups to evaluate documentation terms and enact proper trade capture.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Mathematics, Finance, or Engineering. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related finance position. Prior work experience must include: Deploying creative risk-management frameworks to statically and dynamically hedge positions; Addressing the evolving dynamics of a large portfolio of trades and their hedges through trading; Liaising with traders, salespeople, structuring, financial operations teams, and management; Explaining market dynamics and opportunities to clients, regulators, and controllers through commentary and market color; Interfacing with clients to assist in implementation of specific risk management intentions; Trading experience focused in interest rate markets including government bond, foreign exchange, cross currency and interest rate swap markets. Prior work experience must include one (1) year of experience in a fixed income trading role, taking significant positions in both Interest Rates and FX. FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required. Travel required.
