Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Analyze, structure and execute transactions on behalf of corporate clients, with a focus on Financial Institutions. Perform comprehensive financial valuation analyses, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Leveraged Buyout (LBO), accretion / dilution, comparable companies and precedent transactions analysis. Analyze financial statements, debt and equity filings and documents, financial projections and models prepared by clients in various formats. Manage, guide and coordinate project workstreams and junior professionals’ work product, including reviewing financial modeling work and presentations prepared for transactions, corporate meetings, investment banking pitches and client service projects on corporate finance topics; prepare and review memoranda required to gain internal approvals from typical investment banking committees. Communicate with clients on topics such as strategic alternatives, industry update, capital markets activities, restructuring alternatives and corporate governance issues at board meetings, pitches and on conference calls. Interact with senior and junior management team members on a regular basis to execute projects, provide updates and advice, and prepare internal and client presentation materials. Manage deal execution, including preparing marketing materials, running due diligence processes, coordinating non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents with lawyers and potential buyers, organizing and attending deal and non-deal roadshow meetings, and liaising with other investment banks and other parties within the Investment Banking division. Review complex legal documents including stock purchase agreements.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. Will accept a single or combination of degrees, diplomas or certifications deemed equivalent by a qualified evaluations service. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related investment banking role. Prior work experience must include two (2) years with each of the following: Executing debt or equity financing transactions, and public and private mergers and acquisitions transactions in excess of $100 million in the Financial Institutions space; Developing client presentations and complex financial models using MS Excel and Powerpoint; Building and reviewing financial models including operating models, pro forma merger analysis, and DCF and LBO models; Presenting to senior client executives on M&A, corporate strategy and financing alternatives; Supervising, guiding and mentoring junior professionals. FINRA Series 79 license required. Travel required.
