Assistant Administration Support Officer

The main purpose of this position is to perform administrative tasks in support of the administration support officer at Johannesburg Cash Centre of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
Detailed Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

· Perform general administration in support of departmental operations, including but not limited to correspondence, personnel-related matters and records management.

· Perform administrative tasks in support of the cash centre’s financial administration, ensuring timely submission of accurate payment information.

· Support the administration support officer in his/her role as the department’s training, f acilities, information and communications technology (ICT) and fixed assets’ representative, ensuring effective management of departmental facilities requirements and resources.

· Assist in the coordination of the risk management process for the department and maintenance of the department’s risk matrix.

· Perform administrative duties on an ad hoc or projects basis, as requested by the administration support officer.

· Perform work independently within established practices, given processes, rules and regulations, ensuring compliance with standards, policies and other guidelines in executing own tasks.

· Willingly address any gaps in own performance of tasks and activities against the required standards.

Job Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

· a Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification; and

· 1 – 2 years’ experience in an administrative environment.
