Application Systems Analyst I

Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Monitor production support ticket queue, research, and work to resolve assigned issues. Escalate and assign tickets to appropriate support groups.
  • Write simple PL/SQL code to determine and correct data state issues.
  • Execute and monitor daily processes as required.
  • Act as interface between technical and operational teams for support issues.
  • Document system problems and resolutions for future reference.
  • Document and improve Production Support processes, and add to knowledge-base.
  • Participates in on-call rotation supporting 24×7 enterprise level systems.
  • Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
  • Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Participates in SDLC Project Meetings with Development and QA personnel

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years’ experience supporting applications software or equivalent combination of education and experience. Help Desk experience a plus.
  • Understanding of enterprise level Windows 2003+ and server environments a plus.
  • Entry level technical skills with SQL, PL/SQL, Toad, Oracle and VB Script.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and escalate application issues to appropriate support teams.
  • Familiarity with medical claims processing and practices a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job.
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols and procedures a plus.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and Project Lifecycle a plus.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
