Accounting Technician

JOSEPH EVE is seeking a Finance & Accounting Outsourcing Technician located in our Billings, Montana office. As part of the Finance & Accounting Outsourcing team you are responsible for maintaining an excellent rapport with clients, partners, and staff to complete the highest level of accounting services.

Responsibilities: This position will provide the following services to our clients:

• Review client-prepared revenue entries for completeness and accuracy
• Communicate frequently with internal staff via electronic review notes, comments, and email messaging to meet closing deadlines
• Prepare and post journal entries for banking activities, credit card transactions, and other high volume transaction classes using .csv files or macro-enabled Excel workbooks
• Process specified accounts payable, receivable, or payroll transactions
• Prepare audit-ready reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• Compile reports and analysis required by regulators or management
• Utilize cloud-based technologies for general ledger, document storage, communication, and checklist/reconciliation management
• Manage multiple deadlines for a range of deliverables while adhering to time budgets and allotments

Qualifications:

• Ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and gaming industry experience a plus
• Working knowledge of computer-based accounting systems with recent transactional experience; Intacct experience a plus
• Demonstrates strong analytical capabilities with a high attention to detail
• Ability to work well within a team
• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Bachelor’s preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office proficiency is required, with an emphasis on Excel
