Workers’ Compensation and Disability Analyst

Responsibilities

As our Workers’ Compensation and Disability Analyst, you will be responsible for the review, follow-up, and entry of employee’s medical status report information into our Human Resources disability management database. In this role, you will prepare and analyze Workers’ Compensation documents in order to file timely claims with the University’s third party claims administrator. You will also support UCLA Health’s Early-Return-To-Work program by developing return-to-work agreements based upon specific information regarding employment area (i.e., training/education needed, physical demands, availability, etc).

Our Workers’ Compensation and Disability Analyst will provide general administrative support to Workers’ Compensation, Absence, and Disability Management unit including but not limited to obtaining wage statement requests, employee classification data, and follow up on some employee and management inquiries and will ensure effective collaboration, coordination and communication between HR functions, managers, employees, and external vendors.


Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience with database entry and maintenance (Microsoft Access or Excel)
  • 1 year experience of Early-Return-To-Work or job accommodation procedures
  • Familiar with Medical Terminology
  • Excellent oral and written communications, including presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
