We are seeking a WordPress Developer that will join an energetic development team that is responsible for delivering websites under the Liftable Media Inc. brands; websites that are consistently in the top 100 in the country. This role will be responsible for the back-end and front-end development, including creating specifics themes, customizations and plugins. We are also looking for someone who understands and is comfortable with Data Migration and CMS development. This position requires a combination of programming skills (PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and knowledge of desktop and mobile user experience development. Experience in agile delivery methods for web development is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Development and customization of WordPress themes for desktop, mobile and responsive layouts
Development of new WordPress plugins
Migration of data from acquired web properties into a WordPress data store
Development of add-ons to WordPress CMS workflow

Qualifications:

Requirements:

3+ years of commercial web design and development experience
2+ years of WordPress theme and plugin development
1+ years of agile development methods

Desired:
- Relational database (SQL Server, MySQL) experience
- Non-relational database (NoSQL, Hadoop, BigTable) knowledge
- DevOps methodology knowledge
- Cloud environment (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure) experience
- Google Analytics knowledge
Additional Expectations:
- Able to easily understand existing code and write clean, clear, fast new code
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be a continuous learner and desire to help others learn
