Web Support Engineer

We’re looking for a Web Support Engineer who wants to work with a variety of web technologies and frameworks, while providing excellent, timely service to our customers. We have an active customer base that requires regular functionality updates and ongoing maintenance of their sites and applications. In this role, you will:

Troubleshoot live issues in a variety of platforms and hosting environments
Contribute code to mobile and web application APIs, Node.js and PHP websites, single-page web applications, and even a bit of .NET on a daily basis
Help our customers push their applications forward with new functionality
Work closely with the Support team lead to prioritize issues and gather requirements
Have constant exposure to new code bases and technologies
Provide clearly document progress and solutions in Jira tickets
Release code to staging and production environments

Desired Skills:

Strong debugging skills
Exposure to a wide variety of web technologies. We focus on JavaScript (Node.js, and Vue.js) and PHP
Deep command line experience (we do most of our work on Ubuntu on AWS, but some customers provide their own hosting)
AWS experience (mainly EC2, and S3)
Experience with Git and SSH
Experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB
WordPress, Magento, or other CMS platform experience
Understanding of DNS, HTTP, and web technologies
Experience integrating and troubleshooting issues with third party services including analytics, marketing automation, and lead capture platforms
Excellent oral and written communication
Ability to be self-directed and juggle multiple issues with a variety of priorities and timelines
Ability to complete short projects (up to 2 weeks in duration)
