Web Project and Production Manager

Preferred Qualifications

The web project and production manager will organize and implement projects for Oracle.com and related Oracle external-facing microsites and web pages. The web manager will also be
responsible for front-end coding and hand-coded HTML page production on multiple projects within a number of content areas. As a core member of the web publishing team, the project and
production manager will partner with the content stakeholders and others involved in building and maintaining Oracle.com (including product marketing, editorial, design, SEO, QA, and UX)
to ensure that the pages are kept up to date and accurate, reflect Oracle’s visual and editorial brand, are optimized for SEO and usability, and more.

Major Responsibilities:

– Front-end coding/HTML page production for multiple website projects and updates.

– Update and maintain web content in the content management system (Oracle WebCenter Sites and Oracle WebCenter Content), monitor (Crownpeak) content on live site, trouble shoot, and

escalate if needed.

– Project manage multiple streams of publishing activities with differing priorities and complexities.

– Working with management, gain an understanding of the requirements of a new project (ask the right questions), figure out which teams need to be involved, engage the project team, hold

regular meetings, build out a timeline, make assignments, issue meeting agendas, minutes, and action items, follow-up on action items, and see the project through all approvals and
implementation.

– Pulling together all of the appropriate team members, produce web pages for launches, webcasts, events, and announcements. Provide recommendations regarding template usage, project
timeframes, and quality processes.

– Ensure that QA processes are strictly followed. Conduct QA testing and follow up to resolve issues.

– Provide testing and validation information to web technology and IT teams related to the web publishing platforms.

– Manage tracking system (Webtracker) queues for assigned areas. Ensure requests are initiated, followed up on, completed, and closed out within service-level agreement timelines.

– Manage monthly process for quality review and audits with content stakeholders and web content editor; ensure all pages are reviewed on schedule. Produce and maintain accurate reports and
metrics.

– Ensure that uploaded marketing materials comply with SEO and accessibility guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Strong enterprise website publishing experience a must, with 5+ years of direct experience.

– In-depth understanding and experience with current enterprise-level CMS systems (WebCenter Sites/Fatwire, WebCenter Content), hand coded HTML/CSS, responsive design, JavaScript, Agile
development.

– Ability to work effectively with all levels within the company, including executive management. Must be able to work independently. Team player who demonstrates leadership skills in a
matrixed organization.

– 5+ years project management experience in complex environments working across multiple organizations.

– Excellent written and verbal communications, including strong editing, grammar, and proof reading skills; good listener. Able to convey meeting minutes and action items in clear, net
language.

– Able to juggle several projects at the same time. Cool under fire when dealing with “fire drills,” last-minute demands and changes, or shifts in focus or direction.

– Strong ability to spot consistencies and inconsistencies across multiple projects and web sites and pages and bring that knowledge to bear from one project to another. In other words,
help break down silos across projects and organizations.

– Demonstrate excellent organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills. Keep track of multiple projects and progress of others on the team. Create action plans to finish
projects on time and on budget.

– Strong working knowledge of digital graphic art production/design, including layout, composition, font specifications, and color specifications.

– Possess critical thinking, analytical, and creative talent to develop a concept, idea, fact, or content into a strong visual presentation that maximizes communications/sales
effectiveness.

– Experience working cross functionally with marketing, product/segment management, other web producers, developers, web designers and coders, UX, SEO, editorial, QA, and others.

– Requires a BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

As a senior member of the marketing organization, research and analyze the markets and competition to identify business opportunities for Oracle, the world*s largest enterprise software company. As a key contributor to the worldwide marketing team, your research will help to drive delivery of Oracle*s message to the marketplace, contributing to effectiveness and business results.

Initiate and develop techniques for research and analysis of current and future markets, products and services identifying business opportunities that support the achievement of short and long term business objectives, increased profit and market control. Advise management and assist in the management of subordinates to meet business targets and best practice solutions: this will include coaching and development of team members. Propose, influence and disseminate key corporate information to the geography operations pertaining to new product development/launches. Provide senior management with technical and professional advice to ensure that marketing activities are in support of sales plans. Assist management with directing marketing resources and budget to be deployed using the most appropriate marketing mix for the geography. Ensure consistency between global directions and single-geography implementation choices – and provide technical leadership in areas of risk management and leading edge solution. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns on a geographical basis/as needed. Maintain necessary contact with major suppliers, agencies, customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve marketing objectives. Provide effective performance management: set clear goals for all staff, provide regular feedback on performance and conduct a formal appraisal at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Manage the activities of the staff according to overall marketing strategies and budgets. Implement organizational changes in line with changing business and market needs.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience. Software business management experience. Sales and Marketing experience in the IT industry. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, resource allocations in terms of both people and money. E-business + Internet practical know-how. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in Sales desirable.
