The Opportunity:
Onnit is looking for a Mid-level Web Developer to join our lean software team full­-time. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and can take broad objectives and fill in the gaps to create practical solutions that work within our tech ecosystem and require minimal maintenance. You are dedicated to delivering a high quality software product but know when to strike the right balance between quality and speed to delivery.

You will be a part of a very fast-­moving environment, where adapting to change is a strength, and wearing multiple hats a wonderful bonus. Your day to day activities would include writing object oriented PHP, creating backend API’s, integrating different software systems, maintaining the systems we have built, troubleshooting technical issues with customer service, and creating the next awesome tool or system that solves a challenging problem.

The impact you are able make in this role is epic. The software systems you will improve, support and create have real-­world outcomes. You will have the opportunity to create real-­world outcomes that include an inventory management system which processes thousands of retail orders, automate a wholesale chain that places Onnit products on the shelves at Whole Foods to a rabid customer base, and delivers Onnit gear to high profile athletes and personalities from Joe Rogan and Tyron Woodley to JP Sears and Mark­Paul Gosselaar.

We have a large ecommerce presence, with healthy traffic and flawless uptime goals. You should be familiar with high traffic ecommerce development, including business considerations and performance implications.

Requirements

Required:
Strong object oriented PHP 5.5+ professional experience

Skilled at writing queries in MySQL or other RDBMS

Version control systems (preferably Git)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic JavaScript / jQuery, CSS / LESS and HTML experience

Must be authorized to work in the United States. No sponsorships.

Local candidates strongly preferred.
