Description:
The Leidos Global Services Group is seeking a senior-level professional web developer and designer who can work directly with content and knowledge managers from our customer organization to design and develop solutions to present information using approved enterprise software. The customer organization seeks to sustain and improve the presentation, delivery and consistency of information delivered to its Intranet. The Sr. Web Developer, who should have excellent problem-solving abilities, will also design and build new web sites that can dynamically deliver information within customer timeframes to supporting customer business processes, which enable or directly ensures the mission of secure intelligence dissemination is satisfied.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sr. Web Developer will be responsible for providing web design, development, and operations services in support of the customer. The candidate shall demonstrate the proven ability to build intuitive web sites and mobile apps to satisfy customer needs, with little supervision. Specifically, the Sr. Web Developer will perform the following tasks:

Design and develop web sites and graphical user interfaces to underlying data stores that enhance the presentation and discovery of information tailored to reach the intended audiences.

Coordinate the delivery of web metrics for customer web sites with Government personnel at the request of the customer.

Provide web support to customers leveraging the tools and software provided by the customer to securely deliver and present, organize and marketing information.

Provide recommendations to the customer in terms of processes, IT environment, timelines and 508 accessibility compliance.

Conduct requirements analysis for enhancements and new web sites and applications.

Employ techniques of responsive design when specified by the customer enabling web sites or pages to be displayed on desktops, laptops, tablets or iPads.

Test all web pages or applications to ensure the product functional in all available browsers. (e.g., Internet Explorer 11- Microsoft Edge, FireFox, Chrome, Safari).

Support the government in the integration of web services to include the implementation of metadata tagging and design and development of DTD schemas and XSLTs.

Provide the ability to edit HTML code, and have the understanding and ability to edit cascading style sheets to meet specific needs.

Design web interfaces to work with content management systems, databases, web services (e.g., REST, JSON), or such other systems as may be specified.

Support the Government in the administration of the customer’s SharePoint collaboration site.

Design, import, and format graphics specifically optimal for the web environment.

Support the Government in processing and disseminating finished intelligence (FINTEL) to HTML and ensure FINTEL received has required metadata.

Develop web forms for data entry.

Provide app development support for the dissemination of data to Apple, Windows and Android mobile devices.

Document system issues, issue status updates, resolutions into event tracking system, and other system support documentation as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Communications. Or, an associate’s degree augmented by two years of practical web development experience. A certificate in Web Design, front end/back end development may also be substituted for a four-year degree.

Must be fully certified in accordance with DoD Directive 8570 Information Assurance Training.

At least 5 years of experience in the use of the latest versions of Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Acrobat and independently use of XML V5.0.

At least 5 years of practical experience using HTML, HTML5, CSS, XML, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax and SQL to deliver information from Unix, Solaris, Linux and Windows Servers with current SEC + credentials, Linux (Red Hat), Apple OS 10.10.

At least 3 years of experience working in an Agile development environment using SCRUM.

At least 3 years of experience developing according to DNI data standards.

At least 1 year of experience with understanding and familiarization of CAPCO standards.

At least 6 months of experience in integrating SharePoint 2013/2016 and data integration services to support the creation of automated workflows, tracking and the ability to extract and consolidate information into simple graphic dashboards as required.

Familiarity with Cold Fusion, Visual Studio along with practical knowledge of commercial and Open Source content management systems and accessibility (PL508) compliance within the DoD.

  • Familiarity with the application of DTD schemas and XSLTs, to ensure maximum utility and that all final web products will function optimally in Internet Explorer (MS Edge), Google Chrome and Mozilla (Firefox) browsers.

Familiarity with the use of metadata to improve discovery by enterprise search and ensure that XML tagged documents are producing the desired HTML readable output.

Familiarity with DevOps to use automation in the deployment and maintenance of applications and servers.

Working knowledge of Python, Perl, Eclipse, and NetBeans development.

Working knowledge of model-view-controller (MVC) (e.g., iOS, Ruby on Rails) or similar software architectural pattern for implementing user interfaces.

Working knowledge of an automated configuration management system such as CHEF, Puppet, or other similar system.

Working knowledge of a software development build server and how to maximize its usage (e.g., Jenkins or similar build server).

Working knowledge of a software repository such as Gitlab or similar software repository.

Working knowledge of search technology (e.g., ElasticSearch, Solr).

Have a proficiency in the use of both Macintosh and PC based computer platforms.

Have a willingness to work flexible hours if mission requirements warrant.

Ability to communicate with customer in a clear, concise and courteous manner, both verbally and in writing. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Communications.

Knowledge of the DOD Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS), the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications Systems (JWICS), and the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) community.

Knowledge of graphics design and audio visual technologies

Familiarity with integrating web services and in the implementation of public-key infrastructure (PKI) technologies to safeguard data with the use of Amazon Web Services.
