Web Developer

Are you a web developer with WordPress and/or PHP skills to add to our growing team? Join Ghost Note and help us build web solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Build web sites and applications by writing code (PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript) and configuring content management and social publishing software (WordPress).
• Create custom WordPress templates based on PSD design files
• Build sites using commercial templates
• Define scope and estimate budget and timeline for new projects
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sub-contractors and Ghost Note’s vertical teams – marketing, design, development
• Attend relevant industry meetups and events and present relevant topics.
• Maintaining current client websites
• Testing web applications for bugs across all major browsers
• Continuously learning new technologies and techniques
• Site migrations

Requirements:

• 1 to 3 years experience working with PHP, HTML, and WordPress (agency experience preferred)
• Some experience with Javascript
• Experience in working with clients
• Excellent communication skills
• A desire to learn and grow
• Passion for technology
• Ability to understand business issues for product development
• Ability to effectively communicate accross departments (design and marketing)
• Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines. Execute high quality work under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.
• Must be willing to work in the Ghost Note office in Washington, DC

NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge of Css Preprocessors such as Less, SASS
• Git
• Adobe Creative Suite or Sketch
• Drupal experience
