Web Developer

Position Summary:

Individual will work closely with the Web Development Manager using WordPress to create, enhance and maintain all of the company’s websites and will be responsible for ensuring site accuracy and timeliness via a priority list. This position will also help to ensure all sites are up to date and functional on various browsers and devices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Front end development including HTML(5), CSS, SCSS
• JavaScript and jQuery
• Bootstrap 3
• WordPress CMS API development
• Back end development with deep understanding of PHP
• Deployment software experience such as WPEngine, GIT, deployHQ
• Terminal Command Line
• Experience troubleshooting websites and quickly solving problems using tools such as the DOM inspector
• Testing across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices, including smartphones and tablets
• Interface with development consultants under contract with IFAI
• Passion for the latest web and mobile technologies
• Ability to quickly adapt to new challenges and priorities
• Attention to detail and taking responsibility for accuracy and quality are a must

Qualifications/Competencies

• Associates Degree in related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• WordPress experience required
• Local development methods (ex. Vagrant / Virtual Box)
• Vue Javascript Framework
• Npm Javascript Package Manager
• Gulp / Webpack
• PHP Composer
• Web Server System administrator experience
• DNS Experience
• Hosted Service Providers, specifically WPEngine
• WordPress multi-site networked websites
• SOAP Experience
• Desire for challenge and the opportunity to learn
