Web Designer/Digital Media Specialist

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Develop and maintain all district Internet and social media sites including web pages that support interactive content.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Marketing & Communications Coordinator

SKILLS REQUIRED: Proven ability for web design/programming and social media including best practices, creativity, content, SEO, and analytics. Software skills including: CSS, HTML and PHP or other web coding, Adobe Creative or Master Suite, Microsoft Office Suite. Extensive usage of content management software. Working knowledge of best practices for social media and web content including; Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google Analytics, Google+, mobile friendly media & blog posts. Ability to multi-task and meet frequent deadlines requiring concentrated effort and overtime work.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of five (5) years experience in web development or field related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: Career and Technical Training, Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in web design, digital or multimedia, marketing or communicationrelated field preferred.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS: Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license in order to travel to job sites and meetings. Requires loading, transporting, lifting and handling of a variety of materials and equipment. Good eyesight to process digital images. Ability to meet and confer with individuals and groups concerning a variety of subjects including confidential matters.
