Web Content Specialist

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Web Content Specialist, working as part of the Global Marketing Team, plays a key role in enabling the Westcon-Comstor brand through our online web presence leveraging digital marketing tools and assets. This role will support the following areas: content production, testing, QA, and analytics. Duties will include updating changes as needed on the website and its systems, managing web focused marketing campaign execution and recommending improvements to the sites based upon site performance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assumes responsibility for enabling the Westcon-Comstor brand through our online web presence leveraging digital marketing tools and assets

  • Hands-on website updates in our CMS tools (Adobe Experience Manager).
  • Landing Page Setup/Creation (HTML, CSS, basic photoshop, etc).
  • Ensuring website content is always up to date.
  • Responsible for quality assurance for all content prior to publication to production environments.
  • Maintaining governance to provide a consistent look and feel of web presence and digital marketing assets in adherence to company brand and style guidelines.
  • Collaborating with other team members (i.e. designers, copywriters) to plan and implement website updates that support marketing campaigns & strategies.
  • Maintaining all documentation and approvals for website content changes.
  • Helping to ensure that websites are optimized for search.
  • Identifying opportunities for site enhancements & initiatives. Report technical and production issues to improve tools/processes.

    • Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective working relations, communication, and coordination with management and company personnel

  • Setting goals in accordance with team objectives and tracks progress toward goals.
  • Providing assistance to area personnel as needed.
  • Keeping management informed of area activities and significant problems.
  • Completing required reports and records accurately and promptly.
  • Attending meetings as required.

  • Staying current in the field of Web Content Development.
  • Completing special projects as assigned.

    • PERSON SPECIFICATION

    Education/Certification

  • Tertiary Education will be advantageous

    • Experience Required

  • 3 years + content management on an enterprise class CMS.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar content management systems, content publishing experience.
  • Experience working on multi-site, multi-lingual web environments.
  • Experience in a B2B enterprise organization a strong plus.
  • Experience with digital analytics platforms (i.e. Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, etc).
  • Proven experience with HTML and CSS – ability to write new code, trouble shoot and optimise existing code
  • Experience producing emails and landing pages using Pardot or other marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience using a project management tool to manage tasks and delivery deadlines.
