Validar has an opening for an entry-mid level WEB APPLICATION DEVELOPER to develop custom applications for Validar customers to use at live marketing events. In this role, your focus will be customizing our product offerings as well as developing new solutions to address our client’s specific needs. Your responsibilities will cover the complete lifecycle of designing, implementing, testing, and deploying a product.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, test, and deploy user-facing applications customized to individual customer and event requirements
Develop front-end applications using React, AngularJS, Ionic, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS to consume Web Services in a variety of formats from SOAP and XML to RESTful JSON
Work closely with Project Management to design and deliver high-quality solutions
Enhance and maintain existing product capabilities

Requirements:

BA or BS in a technical or scientific field or equivalent work experience is ideal.
4+ years’ experience creating dynamic content with HTML, JS and CSS is ideal.
Experience with and knowledge of standards, technologies, and methods
Excellent organization and communication skills
A strong desire to understand a customer’s needs and deliver on those needs
General understanding of the product delivery cycle and the role of development within the cycle

Soft Skills:

Good team player, ability to work under pressure and identify priority tasks, and a strong aptitude and desire to learn new technologies
Able to work effectively on many different tasks simultaneously
Demonstrate ownership of projects, process orientated, and highly flexible
Strong business communication skills

Bonus Skills:

Mobile web development, phones and tablets, iOS and Android
Experience with libraries and frameworks like: Redux, Ionic, Bootstrap, jQuery, and NodeJS
Experience with command-line tools and device testing
Experience with MS Visual Studio and MSSQL
Experience with source control and versioning, specifically Subversion and Git
