Wealth Management, Asset Servicing Specialist

What we do:
Asset Service comprise of Corporate Action, Income Collection and Oversight and Controls. The Asset Service Specialist will perform broadly across these disciplines to support the Operations and Business needs of our clients. The Specialist will perform Corporate Action and Income Collection activities and participate in the Oversight and Control functions to ensure a well-controlled environment. Responsibilities will include but not limited to client corporate action notification, case/event management, promptly investigate and thoroughly respond to client inquiries, perform research using various internal and industry toolsets, process transactions, service inbound hotline calls and work closely with Client Service, Middle Office, Operations and other internal business partners.
Asset Service performs a number of critical functions driven by various market activities in support of our client’s investment portfolios. The Asset Service Specialist must execute client instructions and react to market driven activities with urgency and focus on accuracy and timeliness. The Specialist must be able to multi-task and focus on multiple events while observing these critical dates to avoid financial risk.

Who we do it for:
Asset Service supports the Private Bank clients through direct and indirect interactions with Client Services, Investors and Outside Portfolio Managers.
Core Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret corporate action events
  • Provide timely event notification to all clients
  • Execute client’s instruction through custodians
  • Research all out of balance transactions and process
    corrections promptly
  • Liaise with Client Service and Middle Office
  • Perform all deadline driven activities both timely
    and accurately

Required Experience/Skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in fast paced, team-based
    environment.
  • Brokerage / Securities Operations
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Detail and control oriented
  • System experience Omnitrust, Titan, DTC, Bloomberg
  • Flexibility – able to work extended hours when necessary
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven team player
  • Ability to analyze offering documentation
  • Accounting Experience – a plus
  • Ability to prioritize a heavy workload
  • Ability to deliver consistency deliver accurate work
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Strong initiative, energy and confidence in completing daily work with limited supervision
Preferred Experience/Skills
  • Accounting or Finance background
  • Securities industry knowledge – a plus
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Visual Basics
  • Previous General Ledger experience
  • SQL, XML and Access Data coding skills – a plus
  • College degree or three to five years equivalent work experience
