Warehouse Specialist – Documented Disability Required – 001

The Warehouse Specialist, as directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties, which require an understanding of the establishment’s storage plan. Work involves most of the following: Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Support Goodwill’s mission, and implement Goodwill’s core values of commitment, learning, innovation, integrity, respect, and teamwork.

Process incoming stock receipts and Direct Turn-over (DTO) material.

Update the Master inventory database.

Carefully compare Engineering Material Request (EMR) with items received.

Verify quantity, condition of material. Note discrepancies on receipt documents.

Maintain files and records of all material requisitions, shipping requests, and pertinent documents necessary to provide a complete audit trail.

Expedite requisitions as required to support operations.

Conduct extensive research to process frustrated material.

Ability to operating forklifts

Stow hazardous and flammable material per NAVSUP PUB 505 and CFR 49 PART 100 through 180.

Prepare dummy receipts when items do not have proper documentation.

Conduct causative research and searches for misplaced or missing material and property.

Affix minor property tags on material.

Ensure custodian signs copy of receipt document for minor property.

Assist with conducting triennial and spot inventory.

Arrange for obtaining signature of custodian pick up or delivery.

Responsible for general housekeeping of assigned areas.

Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.

Adhere to all recycling procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, filling in for other positions when necessary.

Stow incoming stock material and set aside DTO material for delivery or customer pick up.

Stow material and record location(s) on receipt documents.

Sign and date receipt documents and place in designated workbaskets for further processing.

Retrieve issue documents from workbaskets to fill issue and walk-thru requests.

Set aside discrepant receipts for further research.

Receive excess material consigned for turn in to DRMO.

Receive and process excess material being turned in to DRMO per EMR document associated with the turn-in.
