Specification

AHRI is looking for Clinical Specimen Driver who will be based at our Somkhele site. The successful candidate will be responsible for working on the POP C study(Vukuzazi).

The main purpose of the post will be to pick up clinical samples from various sites to the AHRI laboratory at Somkhele and in Durban.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS

1.Senior Certificate or equivalent

2.Must possess a valid South African Code B Driver’s License and Code A1 (for motor cycles).

3. In the absence of the above the candidate will have 3 months in which to apply and be awarded the license.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1.Previous work experience as a driver (Recommended 3 – 4 years);

2.Previous professional working experience in the transportation of hazardous goods

3. Possess and maintain a safe driving record with no serious offenses against his/her name

DESIRABLE AND ADVANTAGEOUS ATTRIBUTES

1.IATA Dangerous Goods Training and Certification

2.Ability to administer First Aid and CPR

3.Advanced / Defensive Driving Training

4. Resident and a member of a homestead from within the Population Intervention Programme Study Area

(PIPSA)
