Specification

AHRI is looking for Clinic Research Assistants who will be responsible for working on the POP C study(Vukuzazi). The main purpose of the post will be to facilitate research data collection in the community and linkage to appropriate care. S/He will also be responsible for the setting up and dismantling of the Gazebo’s at the Site. The position will be based at our Somkhele site.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS

1. Senior Certificate (Grade 12)

2. HIV/AIDS Counselling Certificate

3. Computer Literacy Certification (MS Office – Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

4. Valid driver’s license.

5. Fluency in English and Isi Zulu.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. A minimum of 2 years research experience in a clinical setting, e.g. working in a research project in a clinical setting

2. Knowledge of and experience in HIV treatment and care.

3. Basic counselling and interviewing skills

ADDED ADVANTAGES

1.Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification

2.Ability to pay close attention to detail.

3.Ability to document information accurately and methodically.

4.Ability to work independently and show initiative.

5.Knowledge of current health and public service legislation, regulation and policies.

6. Resident and a member of a homestead from within the Population Intervention Programme Study Area

(PIPSA)
