VP of Engineering

As Meta’s VP of Engineering, you’ll be at the helm of our software engineering and product team responsible for designing, developing and validating our enterprise and prosumer cloud-based software products – Workgroups DaVinci and ProofMe. You will be a part of our executive team and will direct the engineering team’s work on a day to day basis. You’ll start with a large team of direct reports, grow and hire talent as needed to help scale, establish new & improve existing processes, build upon our strong engineering culture and lead the team to deliver software that will dominate the market. You will be unlikely to have time to “get your hands dirty” with the actual code, but you will be talking product and leading the charge to solve hard technical, architectural, process and logistical problems on a daily basis.

You’ll also be responsible for collaborating with all our other teams in innovating product direction and coordinating the implementation of that direction.

What you’ll be doing Inspire, lead and grow an outstanding team of software engineers Continue to inspire and develop a customer-centric culture of excellence Design and improve engineering and project management processes, practices and standards Work with the executive team and the product owners to build, maintain and execute product roadmaps Continuously work to improve product quality and foster a culture of strong engineering design Manage to budget targets and work with the executive team and the product owners to optimize R&D investment in the next generation of products Manage product and project milestones, progress and issues Collect, analyze, and report performance metrics to stakeholders Collaborate with leadership to build a world-class engineering organization Work with sales, marketing, professional services and engineering teams to ship world class products and solutions What we’re looking for 5+ years as an engineering lead or design engineer 3+ years of software engineering management 3+ years of “in the trenches” startup experience or working with a small team (< 30) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent Hands-on engineering experience with modern software stacks Strong command of software engineering principles, design, and process Demonstrated technical project management skills Demonstrated product management experience Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
