VOLUNTEER PARTNERSHIP RECRUITER & COORDINATOR

(ASSOCIATE, VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall responsibility for managing, recruiting, coordinating volunteer sources that support JA of Georgia

programmatic operations. Primarily, this will be at Junior Achievement’s Discovery Center in the Atlanta

Area.

Volunteer Management

  • Manage and grow corporate volunteer partnerships with champions
  • Recruit and steward individual volunteers, collaborating with JA development team
  • Build & implement parent volunteer strategy with partner schools, collaboration with JA schools

team

  • Responsible for daily reports, program calendar management
  • Work with regional Volunteer Partnership Manager to recruit, manage & grow volunteer accounts &

sources (business, community, college sources)

  • Lead & facilitate daily, morning check-in & welcome to volunteers at JA Discovery Center at

Atlanta

  • Collaborate with school’s teams, program teams, and development teams to ensure onsite

stewardship of volunteers and continued innovation around volunteer role & experience

Constituent Management

  • Responsible for the updating of the shared documents to reflect volunteer dates, volunteer status

and key volunteer indicators

  • Receive confirmed individual volunteer names/email addresses from Sr. Associate no later than 1

month prior to volunteering; move volunteers forward with individual-level (e-blast via merge)

confirmations/reminders.;

  • Assigned corporate and college accounts to manage and build strategy with Sr. Associate
  • Works closely with school lead teachers and districts to build relationships to help recruit parent

volunteers

  • Initiates individual recruitment communication regularly

  • Lead communication around logistics (confirmation volunteer dates, etc.)
  • Help influence JA processes to deliver a “raving fan” experience for every student, volunteer,

educator and guest that come through the JA Discovery Center at Gwinnett.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years sales/recruitment/development experience; ability to recruit, build &

sustain relationships in a variety of settings and at different levels; Strong collaboration skills; Strong

communication skills; Strong presentation skills; create strategies to balance short-term requirements

with long-range business plans; works well in a team environment; strong computer skills; high level of

customer service; works well in a fast-paced environment;
