Visual Designer / Strategy – Junior

Gensler’s Seattle office was established in 2000 to provide services in architectural and workplace design to the Puget Sound Region. Our clients include financial services, professional services firms, corporate and regional headquarters, advertising, retail, academia, museums, and transportation.

Gensler Seattle’s strategy studio is looking for an ambitious junior visual designer to join our team. You will work on a variety of projects at the intersection of consulting (change management, research), technology (AR/VR, sensors, interactive), and human experience (brand, workplace strategy). The ideal candidate is interested in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, appreciates and pursues a diversity of disciplines, and believes that with optimism and imagination anything is possible.

Responsibilities

· Work with design manager, strategists, researchers, and architects to develop immersive user experiences across multiple mediums including digital and physical space

· Create various graphic assets as needed, including presentations and other graphic communications

· Juggle simultaneous projects working with multiple internal clients

· Provide design assistance as needed to other teams within the office

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic designer and/or Web/Interaction/Experience design

· 2-3 years of experience post-graduation as a Visual Designer with an online portfolio displaying a defined process and solid deliverables

· Must have a great aesthetic, and demonstrate an ability to evolve and refine design concepts

· Experience with user research, testing and integrating user feedback

· Experience with data-heavy designs, both online and in print

· On-going knowledge of current web technologies and capabilities

· Solid knowledge of digital visual design concepts

· Expertise in Adobe Design Software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

· Working knowledge of SketchUp is a plus
