Job Summary

Healthwise is looking for is looking for an experienced product leader with a successful track record of developing innovative health IT products and getting them to market. The Vice President of Product Management will drive the vision, roadmap, and execution for our product portfolio, including the development of new products that provide unsurpassed value to Healthwise customers and ultimately help people make better health care decisions. The position demands both strategic and operational thinking to ensure that the right products and solutions are being prioritized, developed and delivered to meet evolving customer needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads the creation and evolution of the product portfolio vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Works closely with clients and partners to ensure that products and solutions are market-driven, engaging and effective.
  • Manages and nurtures a team of world-class product managers and product marketers.
  • Implements and maintains results-oriented processes that govern the entire product portfolio lifecycle; from requirements definition to product delivery and sunset, ensuring unsurpassed product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Inspires cross-functional teams to execute on the product vision and nurtures innovation from everywhere. Provides leadership focus to speed ideation, planning, design, and development of new products and features across the organization.
  • Collaborates effectively with organizational leaders.
  • Effectively communicates an inspiring product vision within the organization and to customers.
  • Sets priorities based on sound and consistent application of overall business strategy and quarterly Objectives and Key Results.
  • Creates and nurtures a strong product culture that values voice of the customer, quality releases, superior design, data-driven decision making, continuous learning, and innovation.
  • Drives pricing, packaging, and positioning for the entire product portfolio.
  • Identifies and establishes business relationships with third party organizations to enhance the breadth of the product portfolio through reselling/OEM agreements.
  • Stays current with market and technology trends and adapts long-term product strategy accordingly.
  • Accountable for the financial health of the product portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, engineering, health or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 10 or more years’ experience in product management or equivalent, with 5 or more years’ experience managing high-performance product teams.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and operationalizing product management accountabilities/processes.
  • Demonstrated experience and background working with modern technologies and creating data rich software products.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the digital landscape for consumer-focused content and its continuing evolution. Experience working with syndicated content or other content products preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with product pricing and managing the financial health of a product portfolio. Experience with B2B and subscription-based business models preferred.
  • Customer-focused orientation with clear background of establishing and growing customer relationships. Experience with user groups and product advisory boards preferred.
  • Passion for world-class design and experience working effectively with design teams. Knowledge of design thinking/experience design preferred.
  • Direct experience in the healthcare industry (clinical or otherwise).
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating business partnerships preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relational skills, including proven experience collaborating, influencing, and driving results across cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Silicon Valley Product Group’s framework for product management and/or dual track agile development models preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) tools preferred.
  • Ability to travel on as needed basis, up to 20-25% of time.
