Vice President, Information Technology

Job Description

Purpose

The Vice President of Information Technology and Distribution builds and executes our global IT strategy for both JetSuite (on-demand private jet services) and JetSuiteX (semi-private scheduled charter services) by efficiently evaluating existing systems along with recommending and implementing systems and business process upgrades to satisfy both internal and external customers. As the leader of IT you will be responsible for Applications Management, Service Management, Infrastructure Management, and Electronic Distribution Strategy/Technology/Integration and development of a Global IT Strategy.


Outcomes & Responsibilities

  • Leverage information technology (hardware and software) to empower crewmembers to provide a seamless travel experience to our customers and impart valuabe insights to our leadership team in crafting business strategies
  • Automate processes and integrate systems to free our crewmembers from the monotony of data entry, operate more efficiently and better focus our energies on serving our customers and revolutionizing the travel experience
  • Devise and implement ground-breaking technical solutions which effortlessly solve complex business problems and are the envy of the aviation industry
  • Lead, inspire and direct the priorities and our IT teaml to deliver highly reliable system operation, unparalled service and 100% satisfaction from internal and external customers
  • Distribute JetSuiteX capacity on all current and growth platforms to bring our brand to the all potential customers and increase bookings exponentially. This includes developing new revenue streams (partner company sales, packaging) and new distribution channels (e.g., GDS, CodeShare)
  • Perform liaison duties between stakeholders in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting to clearly define requirements and implement timely solutions
  • Actively leads on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains business partner relationships to reduce needless spending and negotiate mutually-beneficial contracts
  • Serve as the public face of IT to our customers, crewmembers, investors and business partners.
  • Responsible for support, management and strategy for our PSS and DCS systems for JetSuiteX
  • Ensure workstation, metric display and network support services provide 99.75% up time.

Functional Competencies

  • All key business software systems: General Ledger, HRIS/Payroll, Google applications
  • Aviation specific systems: Radixx, Astro, etc.
  • Commerce-based Website support, operation and maintenance
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure services like Amazon Web Services
  • DevOps, API integration, Java programming, PHP
  • Experience with Information Security
  • Travel distribution systems


Required Education & Experience

  • Bacherlor’s of Science (BS) Degree in Computer Science or Management of Information Systems (MIS)
  • 10+ years of progressive IT management experience


Preferred Education & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science of Management of Information Systems (MIS)
  • 15+ years of progressive IT management experience
  • ITIL Certication
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • 5+ years of Aviation industry experience


Basic Requirements

Able to travel when needed
