Vice President, Administration- Open to Remote Candidates

The Western Territory Vice President of Administration (VPA) will represent the Western Territorial Vice President (TVP) in matters concerning the territory. The Territory VPA will act as advisor to the TVP and will gradually assume responsibility for making decisions affecting the territory.

Some key responsibilities will include:

Managing the territory’s budget and analyzing the monthly expense reports, including forecasting anticipated future expenses.

Drive the management process in the territory and follow on outstanding issues; in addition, prepare the TVP for the leadership team meetings and compile the necessary supporting analysis.

Prepare detailed analyses of the territorial results and identify trends and problem areas with recommended actions to address.

In conjunction with Human Resource, ensure all issues raised by producers and management are tracked, followed on, and brought to resolution.

Work closely with Corporate Real Estate to manage expenses and oversee office moves, closes, etc.

Manage the territory compensation budget, including temportant support allowances , salary increases, etc; develop trends and prepare summaries of results for TVP.

Track results of various marketing and sales programs such as Unaligned Leads management, Management Licensing; recommend necessary changes to improve results.

Manage special projects and teams for the TVP, the Prudential Advisors PMO and VP, Field Support & Planning.

Establish self as territory point of contact with the Home Office, both within and outside of Prudential Advisors.

Support the TVP and Managing Directors during the Annual Planning Process; provide ongoing analysis and review of the firm and territory P&Ls.

Support the Field Advisory Council nomination process and conduct subcommittee teleconferences.

This position has a matrix reporting relationship to the Territorial Vice President and the Vice President, Field Support & Planning. Field travel will be required throughout the Western Territory. Approximate travel is 15% of the successful applicant’s time. Flexibility with hours to partner with those in the Western Territory will also be necessary to accommodate business needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who wish to help drive performance within a given territory. Preferred location is Newark, but may be flexible based on the candidate’s experience.

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience in financial, project management and/or relationship management is required
  • Strong analytical skills, decision-making capability and management courage.
  • Evidence of leadership ability is critical.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are critical.
  • Occasional domestic travel required (approximately 15%).
  • Strong knowledge of the areas dealing with the Field and/or Home Office a plus.
  • Licensing a plus (e.g. L&H, Series 6/7, 24 and 63, etc.)
