NTT DATA Services currently seeks a VDI Administrator to join our team in Seaside, California (US-CA), United States (US).

The Virtualization Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Shared Services Virtualization servers and infrastructure. The Virtualization Administrator carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following technical areas: hardware maintenance, system upgrades, infrastructure design and layout, DR design and implementation, hypervisor installation, and maintenance, Site Recovery Manager Deployments, physical to virtual migrations, and hypervisor server hardening.
The Virtualization Administrator shall have expertise in Enterprise Data Centers and have demonstrated knowledge and experience with virtualization technologies for Data Center Virtualization, cloud-based computing, and end-user computing (e.g., VMWare, Citrix, etc.).


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the active virtual IT baseline capabilities, design, and objectives, and provide technical OS documentation.
  • Responsible for the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support.
  • Defines specifications for operating systems applications and modifies/maintains existing applications. Designs, installs, maintains, and administers infrastructure including hardware, software, and various configurations. Designs and deploys systems based on business/user requirements.
  • Assists with troubleshooting escalated issues.
  • Understands business needs and meets with users to define the requirements.
  • Prioritizes own work and may provide assistance to lower level engineers.
  • Ensures system availability to all users.
  • Confers with senior engineers to diagnose and resolve more complex issues.
  • Assists senior level engineers to analyze and provide innovative solutions to systems engineering and design projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant IT experience.
  • Minimum Education BS/BA, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Must have an Active TS/SCI Clearance

Required Certifications:
  • Minimum required: DoDI 8570.01 Information Assurance Techncial Level II
  • Minimum required: One or more computer environment certifications (e.g., EMC (storage), Microsoft, Juniper (firewall/routers), Cisco, VMware, IBM, Oracle, etc.).
