USF Athletics Partnership Activation Manager – Tampa Bay Lightning

The USF Athletics Partnership Activation Manager will work closely with the USF Director, USF Athletic Department Leadership and TBSE Partnership Activation team to oversee all aspects of the USF sponsor activation, integration, implementation and service including renewals and upsells.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all partnership service, activation and renewals for USF sponsors
  • Enhance current partnership agreements with focus on new/improved activation platforms
  • Fulfill USF partnership agreements with exceptional customer service
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings and presentations with current partners
  • Use creative thinking and industry knowledge to maximize ROI for each partner
  • Oversee mid-season and end of season partner recaps for select accounts
  • Increase annual partner investments via upsells, renewals and new activation elements
  • Assist with the planning and execution of all partner activation, events and hospitality
  • Assist with selling new sponsorships
  • Work with other departments at USF to ensure fulfillment of all client deliverables/communication.
  • Strive to achieve company and department goals and objectives
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with partners, USF leadership, and co-workers.
  • Manage all aspects associated with the inventory management, implementation, and reporting of the department’s key partnership marketing assets including but not limited to: digital, television, radio, web, print, social, and hospitality
  • Serve as the department lead on CRM, assisting with financial and inventory reporting, ROI/ROO tracking, and special projects as assigned
  • Support the TBSE mission, vision and values by exhibiting excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, empowerment of others, commitment to community, accountability and ownership of work
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years relevant experience in professional/college sports
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Ability to work with various computer software operating systems and applications including, Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proven self-motivated team player with a proven ability to meet and exceed aggressive individual and team sales goals
  • Proven expertise in the practices and principles related to the sale and implementation of sponsorships
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients/projects from conception to completion
  • Possess a solutions oriented problem solving mentality
  • Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with sponsors, co-workers, USF leadership and other organizations
  • Creative and detail oriented; possess a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and a strong desire to succeed
  • Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
