Underground Survey and Engineering Technician

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include : The successful candidate will perform of all duties of underground and surface surveying along with engineering and geotechnical tasks; perform other duties as assigned.

SELECTION CRITERIA

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

• Relevant surveying experience in an underground and surface mining environment required
  
• Ability to use survey software, Vulcan, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office required
  
• Proven safe work record required
  
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations required
  
• Walk on uneven ground in inclement weather conditions required
  
• Ability to be self-directed and to work with minimum supervision required
  
• Ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
  
• Good math and computer skills required
  
• Willingness to work in a team environment and fulfill a leadership role on special projects required
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  
• Basic knowledge of mine design and operations principles preferred
