Traffic Control (training starts May 15)

Bay Ferries Limited (The Cat Ferry) is in search of seasonal, part-time staff to assist with traffic direction of arriving and departing passenger and vehicle traffic for the 2017 season of the international ferry between Portland, Maine and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.

Duties: Direct out bound vehicle traffic to ticketing locations. Sort ticketed vehicles into appropriate queuing lanes. Direct in bound vehicle traffic to and from Customs and Border Protection processing area. Work with ticketing agents to ensure timely and accurate processing of traffic. Adhere to safety and security protocols.

Requirements: Must have a positive attitude and be able to provide quality customer service. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and work in varying types of weather. Must be able take direction and work independently and as a team. May be required to switch operational positions in timely manner including walking up to 1/4 mile. Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background check.

Start date: Mid – May

Hours: 12 – 3 pm daily. 15-21 hours per week. May be required to work weekends
