Test Engineer

About the job:

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to develop production test solutions for gauges, monitors, and protectors in TI’s Battery Management business. Design the test hardware and test code/program. Work cross-functionally with design, validation, and systems/apps, to develop a robust test solution with full coverage and lowest possible cost. Create and document test plans and procedures. Follow standard practices for data analysis of the new test solutions, document results, present to the team, and drive continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a product/test engineer
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Candidates should have experience with J750 and ETS platforms
• Proficient in coding in VB and C
• Candidates should have experience with designing probe, and final test solutions
• Drive on-time execution

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of test cost attributes and develop lowest test cost solutions to meet entitlement
• Understanding of regulators, ADCs, DACs
• Device characterization and limit setting
• Data analysis – yield, parametric distributions, trends
• Experience with TI systems (ATSS, TSM, M&B, PCS, MBayse, Spotfire, etc)
• Understanding of USP and Production Site processes
• Scripting experience (Python) is preferred)
