Hubbell Incorporated engages in the design, manufacture, and sale of electrical and electronic products in the United States and internationally. It operates in three segments: Electrical, Power, and Industrial Technology.

PURPOSE: Experienced level sales position responsible for managing, administering and developing sales and customer activities to achieve high rates of growth for a designated territory in the Outside Plant Communication Market. Work with RVP, National Sales Account Manager, Marketing and Product Managers to design both product, marketing and sales strategies to be carried out in the market. The main market consists of RBOC’s, CLEC’s, ILEC’s, Municipalities, MSO’s and Broadband providers.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position Overview:
The Territory Managers’ primary responsibility will be to provide sales service and support to targeted end users, contractors, distributors and consultants, to identify project opportunities and to generate demand for Hubbell end to end solutions in the OSP Communication Market.

Responsibilities Include:
Meet/exceed overall quota while driving HPS market share growth.

Develop and obtain approval or adoption of specifying HPS products at end users and engineer firms.

Manage assigned territory to ensure effective, efficient and economical achievement of sales objectives. Conduct sales calls on targeted customers, distributors, consultants, and end users.

Train distributor personnel to sell and promote Hubbell products.

Manage distributor relationships including joint sales & marketing promotions, inventory review and quote feedback.

Service distributors, contractors and end users by generating demand for product.

Conduct sales training, internal and external, within the territory as directed by Management.

Conduct formal sales presentations to various groups, distributors and end-users.

Communicate to various types of end-users in a variety of ways, either by letter, telephone, small group meetings, person to person meetings, Trade Shows and/or business-oriented social functions.

Service distributors and end-users while creating demand for the Company’s product offering.

Build rapport and strong relationships with end-users, contractors, distributors and specifying influences.

Assist with customer requests for literature, catalogs, technical details, drawings, and cross-reference information.

Act as a liaison between customer and the manufacturing plant for successful resolution product problems.

Generate monthly report on assigned territory.

Coordinate invitations, registrations, and marketing fund deductions for shows.

Qualify sales leads and route for action.

Demonstrate leadership qualities through exemplary work ethic and selling skills, earning the respect of both customers and peers.

Acquire superior product and Company policy knowledge and have the ability to communicate this information to distributors and customers.

Demonstrate excellent time management skills and maintain accurate account records

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to travel on business related trips; ability to communicate verbally and in writing; ability to work on a personal computer (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Company approved Apps) or other related equipment as required. Must be located in the states of CA, NV or AZ in cities such as Sacramento, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Tucson or Phoenix, not limited to other cities in the region.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Five (+) years of related sales and territory management experience is needed.

Control over expenditures for assigned territory

Decisions to develop sales activities for assigned territory
