Technical Consultant – Civil 3D / Infrastructure

IMAGINiT is currently searching for a Technical Consultant – Civil 3D/Infrastructure, to provide pre-sales services for the Civil Engineering marketplace in the greater Chicago area and post-sales services throughout North America. This role will be based at our Rolling Meadows, IL office.

Pre Sales (30%)

• Working closely with customers to assist in defining technology and process solutions related to BIM for infrastructure.
• Provide assessment and recommendations consulting services.
• Fulfilling technology and workflow presentations.
• Delivering software and industry-related technical presentations at seminars, workshops, conferences, user groups and client sites.

Post Sales (70%)

• Defining and fulfilling technology implementation services.
• Creating and implementing customized environments (templates, standards) for customers.
  • Primarily working with Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D and other Autodesk Infrastructure Technologies
• Delivering technical product training using both standardized materials as well as custom content based on specific customer need.
• Acting as a brand ambassador always seizing opportunities to increase IMAGINiT’s visibility in the marketplace.

• 4+ years’ work experience in an infrastructure environment.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure workflows (civil engineering, survey) relevant to the infrastructure design process.
• Relevant technology implementation and work experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Infrastructure Design Suite.
• Experience with reality capture technology (laser scanning, photogrammetry) is desirable
• Familiarity with design processes related to road design (DOT), site design, plan production, gravity and pressure pipe design, hydrology and hydraulics and survey.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication, presentation, organization and self-discipline.
• Initiative with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong business acumen, high energy, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Civil Engineering and/or equivalent experience
• Ability to travel frequently: ~65% requirement across the United States and Canada
