As a Travelport professional you will support internal and external clients in getting the best of products and services. We have recently upgraded from R11 to R12 Oracle E-Business Suite. We have an opportunity for a Team Lead with Oracle EBS R12 Functional expertise.

In this role; you will conduct workshops to analyze the business processes, identify gaps and opportunities for improvement and identify potential solutions. You will serve as a visionary to provide insight and influence to utilize new functionality within R12 to drive Financial Transformation opportunities. You will also collaborate closely with Technology and Finance team members on a global scale.

This position leads a team of like individuals in the design and/or maintenance of multiple components or activities for at least one product (or subset of activities of internal business systems). This position ensures the successful completion of Work-in-Progress (WIP).

Main Accountabilities:
Drives velocity by working closely with employees and partners to guide, educate and align all resources adequately, ensuring functional development work, maintenance and support production activities are completed in adherence to Travelport technology standards within agreed upon timelines.

Works with the business to group features and influence priorities to deliver most valuable features/enhancements.

Works with the business to gain understanding of long term technology impacts and ensure development resources are educated and developing in accordance with Travelport technology decisions.

Educates all development resources on best practices, performance-minded development, and Travelport standards.

Coordinates Implementation Activities; including resource allocation.

Advises and responds during General Release & Warranty Periods to ensure customer deliverable and minimize negative customer impact.

Understands impact on adjacent systems and long term impact of technical decisions,

Generates ideas to improve overall system design and/or streamline delivery of product/system.

Champions needs of customer community and enhancing user experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Training, Education:
4-year degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or combination of experience and education

5+ years’ experience in technology with emphasis on Technical Functional Leadership and Business Analysis in Oracle EBS Financials. (Applications: Receivables, Payables, GL and Fixed Assets. (All others would be a plus.)

Experience developing, deploying or supporting commercial, customer facing distributed or mainframe solutions.

The successful candidate will have proven leadership competencies related to strategic thinking, influence, critical decision-making and managing and developing others

Experience working in a large, cross-functional matrix organization.

Experience Driving teams and project tasks – managing resources and performance priorities.
