Team Lead, Materials Management

POSITION SUMMARY:

The incumbent in this role will act as the subject matter expert for SAP MM/WM business processes and lead a small team in the configuration and maintenance of application systems.

Division Information:

The Corporate division is the central operating unit of the company setting strategy and policy and providing business development, finance, human resources, information technology, investor relations and legal support to the businesses. Company headquarters are located just outside of Philadelphia in Wayne, PA.

Position Description:

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Act as expert support on business processes in the areas of SAP MM/WM.

•Lead the development/configuration and maintenance of application systems by conducting meetings with users to determine their system requirements.

•Manage small, geographically dispersed team. Provide continuous feedback, development and training opportunities for team members and conduct formal evaluations. Motivate and incentivize employees to optimize team performance.

•Ensure team members adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.

•Provide input to the Global Template for applications to ensure that system remains stable and supportable. Assist with enforcing adherence to the template.

•Apply technical knowledge to all phases of systems analysis for Planning, Purchasing, and Warehousing and consider the business implications of the application to the current and future business environment.

•Conduct functional and/or technical reviews and walks-through of IT design documentation with the development and the design team members.

•Ensure the release of system changes according to Teleflex validation procedures.

•Deliver consistently high quality service and solutions that meet business requirements and ensure goals are accomplished in line with business objectives.

•Participate in projects and rollouts of the application (either on full-time or part-time basis).

•Track, monitor, review, and report project progress where appropriate (e.g. subsets of projects).

•Share ideas, information, knowledge, and data proactively to accomplish collaboration for the success of the team, project, or task.

Requirements:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

•BA/BS in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Supply Chain, or Logistics. Super-user experience in SAP may be considered in lieu of unrelated degree or no degree.

•Minimum of 5 years SAP configuration

•Experience in a FDA regulated environment preferred.

•Participation in one or more full cycle of SAP implementations. Experience in other large scale projects or implementations may be considered in lieu of an SAP Project.

•Experience in managing a project or small team.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Additional preferred or required qualifications.

•Demonstrated leadership skills.

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
