Systems Administrator

The Systems Administrator will be accountable for the health and performance of the ArrowStream IT Infrastructure and back office systems. This position will provide system designs, perform problem determination and resolution, perform root cause analysis, document processes, possess thorough knowledge of system operations and execute software installations as well as overall performance tuning.

The successful candidate will take pride in their work where ethics play a big part of everyday activities, while continually acting in the pursuit of technical and operational excellence. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys learning, sharing knowledge with other team members and remains open and flexible to new methods, technologies, business needs and encourages ideas of team members and clients.

This position will participate in the after-hours support coverage as well as after-hours scheduled maintenance activities, including nights and weekends as required.

Job Duties:

Plans, implements, and supports components of the overall infrastructure plan. Systems administration including virtualization, backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems, internet access, office systems and applications support.

  • Implement, administer and support various internal systems
  • Work with team members, the organization and suppliers to achieve stated results.
  • Manage projects to completion within established timelines.
  • Provide coaching, and mentoring of junior staff.
  • Work with managed services and technical support from multiple vendors.
  • Manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.

Supports virtual servers, software and applications.

  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining acceptable performance of system infrastructure.
  • Take appropriate actions to correct or prevent incidents including investigating and reviewing logs to proactively address potential incidents.
  • Install, configure and upgrade systems and applications per project or operational needs.

Performs technology needs analysis, assisting with technology planning through ongoing research

  • Research requests and projects to determine cost, plan and effort.
  • Contact vendors for pricing and scoping of potential initiatives.

Rolls out hardware and software to ensure optimization of resources

  • Set up hardware and software in a manner that allows for other resources to managed the solutions.
  • Create documentation to support systems.

Qualifications:

Required experience with the following technologies:

  • VMware Enterprise 6.0
  • Windows 2012+
  • IIS
  • Linux (CentOS)
  • Basic MS SQL Server Administration
  • MS Office 365 [Exchange, Sharepoint, Skype]
  • MS Active Directory administration
  • Veeam version 9+
  • MS Office Suite (word, excel, Visio, etc)
  • DNS

Optional Technical Experience

  • AWS experience
  • Netapp OnCommand, Snap Manager, and CLI a plus
  • Jira
  • Alert Logic
  • MS Dynamics GP (Great Plains ERP)
  • Sales Force

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree (Information Technology or Computer Science) or extensive applicable work experience

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
