Support Center Specialist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Security Monitoring / Support Center Specialist will monitor client video systems and operations as assigned. Shift work is required for 24/7; 365 coverage. Must be able to work some weekend shift. This is as entry level hourly position that pays between $16 & $20 per hour.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

Must be willing to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays .

Monitor security access control systems, alarm systems, CCTV and other control programs and systems that protect company employees, contractors, visitors and assets.

Respond to alarms and security related incidents.

Maintain accurate records of all work performed, materials used, and communicate any problem encountered or identified with security system.

Provide ongoing support for clients alarm monitoring systems, Milestone Exacq digital video, Honeywell intrusion, DMP software and miscellaneous security databases. Duties include but are not limited to the following; Hardware/software troubleshooting.

Maintain shift security operations log of calls received and action taken by monitoring team.

Answer incoming lines.

Attends to other matters and duties assigned by the Support Center Manager or other executive staff of Tech Systems.

A. EDUCATION

BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent desired but not required.

B. EXPERIENCE

Entry level position

Experience with some of the following manufacturers: Software House, AMAG, S2 Access Control, ExacqVision, Milestone, AXIS cameras desired.

Strong knowledge and experience in commercial Access Control, Security Alarm and Video Surveillance Systems

Should have networking, PC, Windows 7 OS, Microsoft Office products or Microsoft certification preferred.

Inbound Outbound call center experience supporting internal and external customers.

Excellent computer skills

Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems on access control/alarm systems equipment.

Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills.

Strong listening skills and attention to detail.

Goal-oriented and results driven.

Ability to work accurately and efficiently.

Excellent customer service skills, including sense of urgency when attending to customer needs.

Excellent communication skills, including, but not limited to, the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Strong interpersonal skills, including, but not limited to, the ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with Tech Systems’ staff and customers and ability to work within a team.

D. OTHER

Must have valid driver’s license.

Must be able to pass background check and drug testing.
