Supply Technician Lead (Ammunition)

Technica LLC seeks to fill a Supply Technician-Lead (ASP) position to perform on a Government contract with a place of performance at the Ammunition Supply Point (ASP) located in the McGregor, New Mexico area under Ft. Bliss, Texas contract.

The Supply Technician Lead (Ammunition) position is a key lead position with delegated lead person authority to control and oversee other employees in the accountability, assigning of their daily work-load, tasks and monitoring ammunition supply point (ASP) processes and tasks.

This position performs aspects of ammunition and explosives (A&E) ASP operations technical lead and management work. Work usually is segregated by section areas or functions, and controlled in terms of processes with potential of complexity or difficulty at times. Assignments and functions usually relate to accounting, amnesty, basic explosive safety practice, check list execution, compatibility of A&E, document control, inter-depot-transfers, inbounds, inventory procedures, issues, receipts, residue, shipments, stock control, storage and turn-ins. This work requires consideration of program requirements, understanding together with specific variations from standardized guidelines. Must have good communication and lead skills. Must be capable of briefing any ASP section process. Though Supply Technician Lead (Ammunition) will be assigned responsibilities over one specific section, leads are interchangeable and can be reassigned to another section under the Ammunition Supply Point due to customer and mission goals.

Task are performed in accordance with (IAW) and must have a general understanding of AR 190-11, AR 385-64, AR 740-1, DA PAM 385-64, DA PAM 75-5, DA PAM 710-2-1, DA PAM 710-2-2, DOD 4145.26M, DOD 6055.9M, MIL-STD 129R, FEDLOG, SAASMOD and TAMIS user manuals or respective and equivalent inter-service subject manuals, policies and directives. Must have a solid background experience and working knowledge performing A&E operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains accountability of personnel, ammunition, equipment and facilities for section which is assigned.

Assist the ASP Supervisors in ensuring personnel assigned to section maintain certification and working knowledge or standard operating procedures and processes for section/area assigned.

Orders, receives, stores, maintains and issues supplies and equipment to support the daily operations.

Assists in ammunition accountability records. Determines condition of material and equipment. Arranges disposal when surplus or obsolete.

Maintains accountability of government furnished property assigned to the directorate/department in accordance with requirements of Federal Acquisitions Regulations.

Maintains files in accordance with Army Records Information Management System. (ARIMS)

Operates the SAAS-MOD (Standard Army Ammunition Systems-Modernized) system.

Operates the TAMIS (Total Ammunition Management Information System) system.

Establishes and maintains hand receipts and sub-hand receipts as required.

Assists in preparation and processes Inventory Adjustment Reports (IAR) and perform causative research of ammunition.

Assists in resolving inventory and/or system problems.

Generates reports as directed or required.

Maintains ASP storage standards.

Duties may vary dependent on assigned department.

Performs other duties as required.

Other duties as assigned or related to the overall operation of the section/branch that the position is assigned to perform in.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent

Associate’s degree preferred

Former ammunition specialist, ammunition technician, or equivalent in either military or civilian sector

Requirements :
Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience working at an Ammunition Supply Point or ammunition and explosives field.

Must have completed and/or must complete the following ammunition courses 45, 63, 64, 67, 68 or respective and equivalent inter-service subject, but ensure completeness of Army Defense Ammunition Center (DAC) ammunition courses within the first 90 days of assignment.

Must complete ammo 62 within the first year of assignment.

Must possess a current and valid state driver’s license.

Must possess a forklift license or receive within the first 90 days of assignment.

Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.

Must be able to squat or kneel on continuous occasions.

Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Must be physically capable of lifting up to 100 pounds.

Must have a good working knowledge of compatibility, policies, procedures, handling, storage and hazard associated with (A&E)

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized knowledge and skills:
MHE Experience preferred.

Must be proficient in Microsoft office suite and related applications.

Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.

Must have high-level of organizational and planning skills.

Must have excellent communications skills, both oral and written.

Competent demonstrated skill with all MS software to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Must demonstrate a strong work ethic to accomplish work effectively and economically.

Setting the example and attendance as a Supply Technician Lead (Ammunition) is vital to ASP operations, requirements and critical to the readiness of the ASP and the overall ASP mission. Supply Technician Lead (Ammunition) is a position of trust, which enforces direction coming from ASP Asst. Supervisor, Supervisor, and higher authority and critical to the integrity posture of the ammunition supply point.
