Supply Chain Specialist

Boeing Global Services is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist (Mid-Level) in Seattle, WA to support Modifications and Conversions which include Interiors, Avionics Modification Kitting and 737/767 Boeing Converted Freighter kitting and modification support.
The candidate selected will work with other Supply Chain Specialists that manage Bills of Material, Order Parts / Materials from Internal and External Suppliers. They will also work with other functional groups, including Supplier Management, Kitting Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Logistics, etc.
This in a dynamic environment with direct connection to customer deliveries.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Managing an assigned package of suppliers – release Purchase Orders and follow up with suppliers for schedule,delivery, payment issues, etc. utilizing ERPLN.
  • Ensure delivery performance to established supply chain metrics and assist in development of new metrics.
  • Provide status and trend information to leadership.
  • Maintain Internal/External Supplier/Customer interface with regular communication, participate in supplier/customer presentations and program reviews, obtain feedback for improvement, as well as identify and resolve supply chain management issues and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate Schedule and Delivery changes with suppliers and upstream customers.
  • Ensure supply chain management best practices are followed – minimizing expenditures and maximizing cash flow.
  • Lead and participate in Process Improvement activities and maintain applicable process documentation.
  • Candidate may be required to travel for work up to 10% of the time.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience scheduling and ordering inventory and supplies.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • An appreciation for the customer / supplier relationship, building and maintaining those relationships and fostering continuous growth.
  • The ability to work in Boeing business systems and a proven track record for project implementation.
  • Must have excellent software user knowledge: Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point, and Project.
  • Must have team development skills and ability to work in a diverse environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management in an airline or MRO / repair station operational environment.
  • Program leadership such as Program Management Best Practices and lean training a plus.
  • Prefer a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management.
  • Knowledge of a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) – preferably ERPLN Experience.
  • Experience analyzing data and generating metrics reports desired.
  • BCA Supply Chain Management Practices knowledge is helpful.
Typical Education/ Experience:
Bachelor’s and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position is located in Seattle, WA and does not offer relocation assistance. Applicants must reside in area or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
