Blackboard Transact™ is an integrated technology platform that helps improve the student experience and campus safety, while helping streamline business operations and increasing revenue. The Blackboard Transact platform includes capabilities within two integrated modules:

  • Commerce Management: facilitates campus ID card issuance, cashless payment processing, account management and reporting on-campus, off-campus, and online.

  • Security Management
    : monitors all campus activity using integrated door access control, video surveillance and mass notification capabilities.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Blackboard’s Supply Chain team purchases products and services to be used by both our internal and external customers. Additionally, Supply Chain is responsible for inventory management, receiving, shipping and asset control. The Analyst will work in a fast paced environment, and interface directly with our internal stakeholders to fulfill the needs of our customers in a timely manner. We are looking for an entry-level team player with a “can-do” attitude to join our Supply Chain team. In general this role is responsible for asset management and control of inventory, receiving, shipping, and providing operational support to buying activities, within defined policies and procedures.

The Supply Chain Logistics Analyst will play an integral role in the success of the group. Specifically s/he will be responsible for:

  • Process all receiving/shipping for Transact.
  • Contacting freight vendors for pricing and arrangements for special shipments.
  • Maintaining inventory system with delivery, receipt, and return information.
  • Process system adjustments.
  • Software configuration of inventory items.
  • Provide Purchase Order support and order status updates.
  • Back-up for Supply Chain team for meetings with third party suppliers.
  • Manage relationships with assigned suppliers.
  • Approves third party vendor invoices for payment.
  • Performs end of month reconciliations as necessary.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • A minimum of two (2) years proven customer service experience.
  • Degree or equivalent experience of 2 to 5 years in Logistics and/or Supply Chain.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
  • Prior experience using Fed-ex software for preparing shipments.
  • Prior experience and understanding of requirements for preparing packaging or pallets for shipment.
  • Self-motivated, ability to multitask, and ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.


PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Prior experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Peoplesoft, SAP)
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Supplier coordination experience
