Supply Chain Analyst -Inventory Management

Preferred Qualifications

The position will be in the Inventory Management Group of GP&F of Oracle Hardware Worldwide Operations. We are seeking experienced supply chain analyst, focusing mainly on global inventory management. Responsibilities include inventory reporting/monitoring, in depth analysis with large data sets to gain business insights, and to apply and act on these findings to drive improvement action for inventory optimization; to lead/work closely with cross functional teams; to present your findings and proposals in front of stakeholders to gain support and buy in.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze large data sets (transnational data in nature) to gain business insights and deliver actionable findings/proposals;
  • Publish, manage/maintain various inventory reports;
  • Responsible for getting inputs and working closely with different stakeholders to address issues related to inventory reports;
  • Conduct RCCA (Root Course and Correct Action) to identify areas of improvement, especially related to material positioning strategy, business practices and excess inventory; usually in cross-functional team setting;
  • Manage specific inventory management programs: status reporting/communication, metrics generation and monitoring, rally the team for improvement activities;
  • Be a part of the team to work out inventory management strategies; document and promote best practices, change management in a fast paced working environment.

Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree from relevant field in Supply Chain management or an analytic discipline.
  • Two years or more related working experience.
  • Experience with common statistics package/application, e.g. SAS, R.
  • Oracle GSI experience is desirable; in depth knowledge on SQL, or other data retrieval apps.
  • Expert in using Excel or other apps to generate analysis and reports.
  • Strong project management and excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent team player

Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine materials purchases.

Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine needed materials purchases. Obtains materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (i.e., just in time purchases, use of EOQ – economic order quantities). Resolves discrepancies. Ensures material standards are met and non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized. Develops specifications for new contract orders. Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards. Monitors cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. Evaluates vendor reliability and develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. 2 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree preferred.
