Supervisor, Transportation

NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Supervisor, Transportation based in our corporate headquarters in Daytona Beach, FL.
The Supervisor, Transportation will lead the team of Transportation Coordinators based in Daytona Beach. Provide day to day support for the fleet of Daytona based promotional vehicles. Operate motor vehicle(s) and provide transportation services as needed.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Perform a variety of duties related to the company vehicles including (but not limited to) the following:
Oversee daily operations, set priorities, and manage scheduling of the Transportation Coordinator team.
Operate motor vehicle(s) and provide transportation services as needed.
Coordinate with the Security as needed.
Provide logistical support for the promotional vehicle fleet.
Facilitate short-term loaner usage of spare promotional vehicles.
Provide regular recurring courier service (pick-up and delivery of packages / parcels).
Collaborate with other managers and staff members to support the annual vehicle ordering process.
Work with vehicle manufacturers and dealers to ensure vehicle tags and registrations are current.
Maintain accurate vehicle inventory information.
Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
Coordinate vehicle maintenance or repair activities (including cleaning and detailing) as required to ensure vehicles remain in good operating condition.
Approximate travel 40%, including weekends.
Qualifications include the following:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and/or five (5) years related experience and/or training in transportation and fleet management, chauffer / driver services; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with spreadsheets, database usage related to inventory management, data entry, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
  • A valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving background as per company guidelines/standards is required Manage multiple priorities
  • Adapt to fast changing work environment
  • Make decisions quickly
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Experience in fleet management highly preferred
