Structural Design Technician – Portland, OR

Support Structural Design activities across the globe and have a hand in transforming tomorrow.

Our Structural Design Technician role provides you the opportunity to work on state of the art facilities. You will design environments that make our clients successful today, while helping them develop and capitalize on emerging technologies. You should be a self-motivated individual with a passion for design and the desire to grow professionally with each new assignment. Our design technicians have expert knowledge of procedures and technical concepts and apply expert knowledge of regulations and standards to assignments. You should be a detail-oriented professional with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in engineering design and technical support, along with a strong desire to grow both personally and professionally with each project.

Our Structural Design Technicians:

  • Maximize production of contract documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Utilize field verification of existing conditions.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical and process.
  • Complete on the job training designed to improve expertise in CAD operations.
  • Exercise judgment required in developing plans or alternatives.
  • Work with mentors to assure quality plans.
  • Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
High School Diploma.

7 years’ experience using AutoCAD for Structural Construction Documents.

3 years experience using Revit for Structural design.

Experience interacting with engineers and gathering field data to generate completed CAD drawings.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

Associate’s Degree in AutoCAD Drafting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skillset.

Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
