Strategy Analyst

The Strategy Analyst is a great opportunity for a talented individual looking to gain experience in overall business strategy by working alongside Genscape’s Chief Strategy Officer. The strategy team’s mission is to help define the strategic course for Genscape as we continue to expand our products and geographic footprint.

The Strategy Analyst will be an integral part of the team and get exposure to driving Genscape strategy initiatives towards execution.

Key responsibilities include:

Helping to develop and document Genscape’s corporate strategy, as well as those of the individual product verticals.

Assisting in development of organic and inorganic growth strategies, including market research, competitive intelligence, and understanding customer needs and trends.

Evaluating adjacent market entry opportunities and developing partnership and standalone business case(s).

Supporting go-to-market strategy initiatives including conducting pricing analyses, customer interviews, and surveys.

Supporting M&A activities, including terms negotiations, drafting letters of intent, preparing legal documents and coordinating closings.

Assisting with ongoing business development activities, including managing Genscape’s internal pipeline, updating monthly DMGT reporting documents, and creating Board materials.

Presenting work to internal stakeholders, including Leadership Team members, both in person and over the phone.

Knowledge and skills required:

Completed BS Degree in Economics, Business, Finance or quantitative field.

Prior related experience in strategy, consulting, M&A, or market research.

Strong desire and passion to learn.

Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Strong teamwork skills.
